I decided to wake up super early this morning so that I could gather prices to include in the Mega list. While at Fry's, I did a bit of shopping of my own. I'm not a fan of cleared shelves, so I went to two different Fry's to pick up shaving cream.
The reason I bought so much shaving cream is because I was able to make money off of the coupons, meaning that the coupon value was higher than the price of the item. When this happens, the overage applies to the rest of the items in basket and reduces your overall cost. 100% of the shaving cream will be donated.
Not pictured: Two more packs of Nestle Pure Life Purified Water, 18 count eggs, and one cup of yogurt.
My grand total was $2.76 (not including tax) and I still have two coupons for $2 off and $5.00 off my next shopping trips. This means that today's trips were moneymakers!
Please note: All of shopping my trips are not like this. I aim to save between 40-60% with each shopping trip. We really needed eggs and yogurt so I used the shaving cream so that I could purchase those things. Everyone's shopping trip will vary depending upon what their families need.
It's always nice to stock up when items are cheap. Instead of purchasing one of an item, get several. Over time, your stockpile will get bigger and bigger and you'll be wondering where you're going to hide all of your stuff.
