How to Save Money Using Your Smartphone

Nowadays, fewer people are using laptops and printers and more people are using smartphones. You can still save money using just your phone, though! It's easy!

Ibotta is a mobile app that pays you to go shopping! It involves completing simple tasks (like learning about a product) and then adding the product offer to your account (similar to an e-coupon). After buying the product in store, you take a picture of your receipt, and then your account will be credited within 24 hours. Right now, they have a special offer where you will receive $10 for signing up with Ibotta!

Target Cartwheel is a program that takes a percentage off your purchase of different items. To learn more about how to use Cartwheel, check out my "Target Cartwheel: More Ways to Save Money" post. Cartwheel is an amazing way to save extra money on fresh produce or clothing items!

Using the Savingstar program is very similar to using ecoupons. The main difference is that the coupon amount isn't deducted at the register when you checkout in the store. The money is credited to your Savingstar account instead. Once your account reaches $5.00, then you can choose to have it deposited into your bank account or receive it by Paypal, Amazon gift card, or donated to American Forests. You can add the iPhone app by going here. Or if you would like to add the Android app you can go here.

If you know of any other legit phone apps that help you to save money, I'd love to hear about them! I don't have a smartphone myself, so I'm living vicariously through those of you who do. ☺
